Last Second Discovery

After several days in Costa Rica's O-So-Organic mountain nestled town of Orosi, frollicking in waterfalls, sketchy trails, and coffee fields, I had to bus back to San Jose. I believe it was October 2nd. On my own for the first time in over two months and feeling quiet and psuedo-reflective, I enjoyed an hour of bus side window gazing and pondering. Then I saw this wall.

I was at once gleefully astonished and pissed that I was rushing by it so quickly and would have no chance to stop and capture the bounty of street art my eyes engorged themselves on over the next 100 feet. Then, within 15 seconds of passing it all by, I had a feeling of familiarity. I kept my hope down just in case, but quickly saw that this mecca of beautiful deviance was all within feet of the park Mel, Erin Cass, and I had walked within (and almost past, but just not quite), a few days prior. I happily hopped out of the bus at the next stop, walked back through everything and further feasted my eyes, and finally found a little shop in which to charge my camera. I allowed myself 20 minutes of charging (I had a plane to catch at some point), and then giddily meandered back through this lovely clusterfuck of classic tags, creative stencil, political scribblings, and cartoons drifting from goofy to monstrous, all with an umbrella overhead to ward off the downpour that precipitated my solo-photoshoot. Thanks, all you delinquents.
